September 24, 2009
On Thursday morning, September 24, 2009, Charlie and Pamela
Horner of Classic Urban Harmony returned to the Bridgewater NJ Public Library
to give their multimedia presentation of "Under the Streetlamp: Tales
From the Doo Wop Era: Part 2." The second part in the series
highlighted the careers of Five Keys, Clovers, Chords, Platters, Hank Ballard
& the Midnighters, Heartbeats, Shep & the Limelites, and Lee Andrews & the
Hearts.
Celebrity guests in the audience included a return visit
from Bobby Thomas of the Vibranaires & Orioles and Bill Keith who sang with
the Blendtones, Philadelphia Students, A Moment's Pleasure, and the Accords.
This was a special reunion since Bill had once co-hosted a radio program in
Philadelphia with Charlie Horner in the 1990's.
After the presentation Pam & Charlie showed Bill and his
wife Toni, Bobby Thomas, and several friends around Classic Urban Harmony
Headquarters.
