On November
10, 2009, Classic Urban Harmony Headquarters was a scene of lights, cameras
and equipment as the Visual Communication Group, Inc. visited us.
Independent director, Keith Lewis, was filming a documentary on the art of
acappella group harmony. Lewis and his associate James Power had already
assembled footage of several of the area acappella groups, including Choice
and Perfect Blend. They were here to film Charlie’s commentary on acappella
harmony.
Keith
Lewis’s company is located in Lansdale, PA, just outside of Philadelphia.

James Power, himself a musician and songwriter, has recently released the CD
single, “The Man In Room 1009,” sung as a duet with former Persuasions lead,
Jerry Lawson. The song is a tribute to Reverend Claude Jeter of the Swan
Silvertones who passed away earlier this year. We’ll be posting more about
this shortly!
Keith Lewis
and Jim Power both share Charlie & Pam Horner’s fondness for and dedication
to vocal harmony.
When
completed, Keith Lewis intends to take his documentary to schools to
encourage acappella singing. Classic Urban Harmony applauds the Visual
Communication Group, Inc., for their efforts to preserve, cultivate and
perpetuate acappella quartet singing.
