Saturday January 31, 2009, was
Silhouettes' Day at Classic Urban Harmony LLC's World Headquarters as we
were honored to have visit us, Reverend John Wilson, last surviving member
of the Silhouettes, along with Elaine and Shana Lewis, wife and daughter of
the late Rick Lewis, original Silhouettes' tenor and writer of their big
hit, "Get A Job".

John Wilson joined the Silhouettes as lead singer in 1962, in
time for their recording of "Move On Over" on the Grand label. John
also led the group on singles for Imperial, Junior ("Rent Man"),
Jamie and Goodway ("Not Me Baby") and was on the Goodway
LP. John's story will be the subject of a future update of our
Silhouettes' Page.
With Elaine Lewis playing guitar,
John serenaded us with renditions of "Rent Man" and "Move On Over". We
have to admit, John's voice sounds as great as ever!

We spent an enjoyable afternoon
talking about the Silhouettes. Our thanks to Elaine Lewis for locating
John and adding his story to our music archives.
