Classic
Urban Harmony Presentation Takes Bristol (PA)
By Storm: Our Second Standing Room Only Presentation
in a Row. Margaret Grundy Memorial, Bristol, PA
November 16, 2010
While a torrential rainstorm raged outside on the evening of
November 16, 2010, a standing room only crowd packed the Margaret Grundy
Memorial Library in Bristol, PA, to catch our Classic Urban Harmony
presentation of "Under the Streetlamp: Tales From the Doo Wop Era - Part 1."
This was our first venture into Pennsylvania and probably won't be our last.
Our special guest celebrity was Doc Robinson of the Master-Tones ("Tell Me").
The library also provided light refreshments, a nice treat considering the
event was FREE to attend. Registration filled up quickly and there was
soon a waiting list to get in. In spite of the inclement weather there
were few no-shows, if any.
The enthusiastic crowd had many questions at the end, including
whether there are additional presentations. There was a consensus that a
Classic Urban Harmony presentation on Philly groups would be most welcomed.
If we can line up a few more presentations in Philadelphia area libraries,
we'll definitely get to work on such a presentation.
